Deconstruction of Kidulthood

Narrative:
- Kidulthood (rendered as KiDULTHOOD) is a 2006 British drama film about the life of several teenagers in Ladbroke Groveand Latimer Road area of inner west London. 
- Shop lifting 
- Violence 
- Underage pregnancy 
- Torturing 
- The trailer represents the stereotype of working class youths within characters as it gives the audience ideas that the characters are a part of gangs which automatically makes the audience associate them with crimes and violence. 

Setting:
The setting is based in the deprived areas of Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road where crime is most common and violence seems to take place more than anywhere else.
Mise-en-scene:
- Guns 
- Baseball bats 
- Other weapons 
- Hoodies
- Tracksuit
- Drugs
- Smoking
- Alcohol 

Editing/Camera angles:
- Close up shot- to show to expressions and emotions of the characters.
- Establishing shot- to show to setting which is mainly on council estates
- Low angle shots- to make the characters look more menacing
- Point of view shot- to show the point of view from the victim being hit by a baseball bat
- Fast pace editing- to show the exciting and spontaneous life of the teenagers

Sound:
- Swearing- suggests the use antisocial behaviour
- Dramatic fast pace music- this is used along with fast pace editing
- Rap Music
- Characters having arguments- shouting
- Informal dialect
- Screaming
