To decide what we wanted to write on the mirror, I did some research to find some suitable quotes which would link to social realism.
In the end, we decided to write 'Happy birthday to me' on the mirror instead to emphasize how lonely she is and how her life has changed compared to the year before. In the second to last scene, Verity is shown wiping the words then it ends with her sitting alone against a brick wall.
